Inspection Reports
We are very proud of our school and our children's achievements. You can find out more about
- How well we provide an education with a distinctively Christian nature in our SIAMS Inspection report.
- How well our school is judged to be performing overall in our Ofsted Inspection report.
Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)
In addition to Ofsted inspections, Church schools also undergo a denominational inspection - a Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, SIAMS, which assesses the effectiveness of Church of England schools as Church schools. I am delighted to share the outcome of our most recent SIAMS Inspection (October 2026).
The inspector concluded that: "Send Church of England Primary School is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish."
This report recognises what we see every day across our school community: a vision-led school where children are supported to achieve their potential, where relationships are rooted in care and respect, and where everyone is welcomed and valued.
The report highlights many strengths, including:
- Our welcoming and inclusive school culture.
- The strong sense of belonging experienced by pupils and adults.
- The exciting curriculum that engages and inspires children.
- The excellent support provided for pupils with additional needs and those who may be vulnerable.
- The positive attitudes pupils show towards learning, worship and Religious Education.
- The caring relationships that exist throughout the school.
We are particularly proud that the inspector recognised our school's commitment to ensuring every child is valued as an individual and supported to achieve their God-given potential. The report also celebrates the way pupils contribute to school life and the wider community, noting their willingness to take responsibility, support others and make a positive difference. Like all successful schools, we continue to look ahead. The report identifies several areas that will help shape the next stage of our development, and we look forward to building on the many strengths recognised during the inspection.
Ofsted Inspection
We are delighted to share with you our Ofsted report from the inspection that took place in November 2024.
We are proud that the inspector recognised that we are an ‘inclusive school’ and that ‘pupils benefit from the school’s high ambitions and expectations.’ One of the key strengths of our school is the community that we have built which means that our school ‘is a happy place to be’. We are proud that the report celebrates our ethos, recognising the ‘warm, mutually respectful relationships’ and that ‘a sense of kindness and care permeates the school’. The inspector also noted the children ‘behave well’ and ‘take care of each other and their environment’.
Although noting that we are still on a journey in developing our school, the inspector praised the school’s ‘decisive action to further improve the curriculum’. It is encouraging that the areas identified for future development were already part of our School Improvement Plan and that we are making good progress towards them. We were also very pleased that he noted that ‘leaders decisive actions mean the school continues to rapidly improve standards in all areas of its work’.
We are very proud of this wonderful school and of the journey it is taking. We hope that you enjoy reading the full report and are as proud of the school, the staff and the children as we are.
