School Results - July 2025
We are absolutely delighted to share the fantastic news about our school’s recent assessment results across all year groups – from Early Years to Key Stage 2, including our Phonics Screening Check and Multiplication Tables Check results. They are a testament to the incredible hard work and dedication of our pupils, staff, and the unwavering support of our parents and community.
We are celebrating huge improvements this year, with our pupils making significant gains across the board. In English Writing, an area we have focused on, we are thrilled to be at the national average, with 73.6% of our pupils achieving the expected standard. Our English Reading results are also within 5% of the national average , with 70.2% of pupils reaching the expected standard. In addition, our Maths results improved significantly from last year, with 68.4% of pupils meeting the expected standard. This has led to a major increase in our combined Reading, Writing, and Maths score, which has risen to 54.3% from 43.8% last year.
Our youngest pupils are also making a strong start , with our Early Years pupils achieving 81% in their Good Level of Development, well above both the national and Surrey averages from 2024. Our Year 1 Phonics Screening Check results improved to 75% , up from 66% last year. In the Multiplication Tables Check, our school's mean score for 2025 jumped to 23.25%, with 50% of children achieving full marks , a significant rise from 2024
These wonderful results reflect the hard work that has taken place since I took up the headship in September 2023, following a period of instability and several changes in key roles. As our November 2024 Ofsted inspection highlighted, the school has taken decisive action to improve. Ofsted noted that our staff have strong subject knowledge, which helps them to explain and model ideas well to pupils. They also highlighted our rigorous identification of need, observing that the school quickly identifies pupils’ individual needs. As a result, pupils are now achieving much better than they did previously. The Ofsted report also commented on what a happy place our school is, noting that pupils are motivated to learn and benefit from the school’s high ambitions and expectations. This is down to their own excellent learning behaviours, and I want to thank them for their enthusiasm and dedication. I also want to extend my deepest thanks to our entire staff for their tireless hard work and dedication.
Ofsted recognised that staff are positive about our journey of improvement and work well together to make sure that changes impact positively on pupils. While we are delighted with each child’s individual results, we know there's always more to achieve. We are committed to this continuous improvement and look forward to sharing further progress next year.
Thank you all for your ongoing support.

KS2 Assessments
Key Stage 2 (KS2) tests, often called SATs, are national curriculum assessments taken by year 6 pupils in England to measure their attainment against expected standards in English and maths. Scaled scores, ranging from 80 to 120, are used to report the test results, with 100 representing the expected standard. These tests help identify pupils needing additional support and inform school performance data.
